TASTE makan places that I would like to visit again.

Black Sheep Cafe - Black Sheep Shank

BLACK SHEEP CAFE
35 MAYO STREET, SINGAPORE
The Black Sheep Café is the fruit of Chef Ratha’s passion for cooking, food and having visited it several times, I have fallen in love with this cosy café tucked in one corner of Little India. I personally recommend the Duck Confit and the Black Sheep Shank.

The chef is approachable and despite his achievements, remained humble and focused on cooking. Being a chef-owner establishment, do expect long waiting time during peak hours.

Dezato - Sashimi

DEZATO DESSERTS AND DINING
20  LORONG TELOK #01-01, SINGAPORE
Helmed by Chef Derick Lau, Dezato is a small but comfortable Japanese restaurant located near the historic Boat Quay. If you fancy some affordable Japanese set meals with excellent quality Dezato is a must-visit. One of my favourite experience in Dezato is not only savouring the delightful meals whipped up by Chef Derick but rather the opportunity to understand and learn more about the Japanese cuisine under Chef Derick who is always keen to share his knowledge.

On top of that, there are no ++ involved in the menu.

Antoinette

K KI ケーキ
7 ANN SIANG HILL, SINGAPORE

Kki has been around for quite a white and it has already found itself on the top of a cake lover’s list of must-visit. This small Japanese designer cake shop is located at the historic Ann Siang Hill, formerly a nutmeg plantation, finding itself in close proximity with a number of notable eateries as well as hawker centres, it is one place you could have some really nice cakes after a meal if you have money to spare (priced at 8-9 SGD each, these cakes are pricey!)

TRAVEL places that I wish to visit again.
The Bhuthorn - Exterior

THE BHUTHORN BED AND BREAKFAST
BANGKOK, THAILAND
The Bhuthorn is the brainchild of two passionate architects, Khun Direk and Khun Chitlada Senghluang. Located in the old town part of Bangkok, the humble but elegant bed guesthouse offers a peaceful and tranquil haven from the hustle and bustle of chaotic Bangkok.

Take the time to appreciate and admire the fine details of the historic shophouse, have an excellent glass of cha-yen or engage in an intriguing conversation with the owners.

Kyoto 京都 - Kinkakuji 金閣寺

KYOTO
KYOTO, JAPAN
The ancient city of Kyoto is a fascinating city of contrasts where the old and the new coincide. If the plethora of temples and gardens are not enough to intrigue you, then its rich cuisine would, from the simple fare of tofu to the exquisite kaiseki, eating your way around Kyoto is a memorable experience itself.

The beauty of Kyoto lies not only in its contrast and rich heritage but also in its different character depending on the season. It is a place in the world that would take more than one or two visits to fully comprehend its beauty.
