24th July 2010. Written by Xin Li.
This is a long overdue post (together with my Japan ones). I must really thank Vinleon for recommending this tiny café tucked away in Far East Shopping Centre. It was a pleasant find indeed. The food was above average and you don’t get those over-the-top prices you normally find in Orchard Road.
The interior décor is a mixture of various styles, you find some Tiffany-style lamps next to Italian Pizza joint figurines and then there are some contemporary Asian style glass vases with curvy branches in it. The result was a rather casual atmosphere and the place was quite quiet too, I guess everyone is hanging out around ION etc.
I had the Grilled Dory Fish Fillet for about 7-8 dollars. While I find it to be slightly oily, everything else was good. The fish tasted fresh, there was enough flavour and the texture was just right, a little crispy and soft enough to flake off with ease. The sides were decent too.
