Set up in 2004 by Alan Yoon. Beano just opened another branch at Millenia Walk recently. The shop specializes in traditional beancurd and soy milk and sells some desserts like grass jelly or aiyu jelly.
It easily becomes one of my favourite eateries to get a cup of Soy Milk (1.50 SGD) or Beancurd whenever I misses the beancurd and soy milk my mum makes.
Beano also offers lunch sets that includes a bowl of rice, choice of soup and choice of tofu (savoury/sweet). I ordered Pork Ribs with Lotus Root Soup for takeaway once and opted for their savoury tofu, seasoned with sesame oil and garnished with fried onions.
