Bukit Merah View Hawker Centre is one of my dad’s favourite
makan places because of the variety and affordability of the food there. Known
for good wanton noodles, mutton soup etc, I had the chance to have a meal there
one morning before heading to school.
I had a rather cheap Wanton Noodles from 美食春之屋 for 2.50 SGD. Thought it was just okay for taste, but for 2.50 SGD,
I am more than satisfied with my wanton noodles.
What is good however is the stall next door, Hao Man Yi Xiao
Long Bao (好满意小笼包) where I had their Fried Dumpling or 香煎锅贴 (8 for 4 SGD). According to them,
they made it fresh every morning and they are certainly very generous with the
filling too. Savour it with some vinegar
and ginger provided, this makes a good snack. One day, I would love to go back
for their xiaolongbao.
