L’etoile Café is located along Owen Road at the near Farrer Park MRT away from the more busy Tiong Bahru. Like Octa Café, L’etoile is a French-Japanese style café.
I was led to L’etoile Café after I was informed that I could still get the coffee from the former SOHO Café at L’etoile Café. Unlike Octa Hotel, L’etoile doesn’t go overboard in its “French” décor which makes the former looked like a doll house. L’etoile is a more classy and casual.
I had their Matcha Azuki Chiffon Cake which is a delightful treat for an afternoon tea. The matcha flavour is distinct and the azuki layer is just right without being too sweet, and the chiffon cake itself is light and fluffy.
Together with my slice of Matcha Azuki Chiffon, I also had a cup of Cappuccino which I enjoyed thoroughly. Coffees here are priced around 4-6 SGD.
