Jones the Grocer

Jones the Grocer - Interior

20th April 2011. Written by Xin Li.
I always thought Jones the Grocer is in Dempsey but I didn’t know they have a branch in the Mandarin Gallery. Jones the Grocer was set up in Sydney in 1996 as a premium Australian gourmet food store. It has expanded beyond the down under since. Having heard Mu Yao raving about it before, Wei Xiang and I decided to pay this place a visit for tea.

For variety, Jones the Grocer offers quite a myriad of teas. Wei Xiang had the Caramel Tea (5.50+ SGD) with a mellow and fragrant flavour and I had the Piccolo Latte (5.00+ SGD).

For sweet, we had the Jones Cheesecake (Chocolate Version) which cost about 5-6+ dollars. There is a raspberry version as well. I prefer more bite for the base. The cake was just…cake? In short, the cake was rather unimpressive.
