Osaka, Japan
As we are short of time, we decided to have a quick dinner at one of the many underground restaurants located at Walk, part of a series of underground shopping malls near JR Namba station. Hence we found ourselves at さらしな廣田屋, partly because we had a craving for some tempura and we were tempted by the delicious looking food models outside.
Unfortunately, it was a bad choice, the meal was very unsatisfying. It is another evidence to prove that not all food in Japan is delicious. Firstly, the tempura was poorly done, the crust was soggy and the oil wasn’t clean as bits of charred matter could be observed and secondly, the soup for the udon was rather tasteless.
In short, it was a disappointing meal. However, the prices are definitely wallet friendly judging from the portions alone. My Tempura Teishoku cost 780 Yen.
