Tong Fong Fatt is a chicken rice chain that pops up in several places in Singapore without charging more than 4 SGD for a plate of Chicken Rice. Recommended by Vinleon, it was not only a wallet-friendly choice, it was a tasty choice.
The Hainanese Chicken Rice cost only 2.50 SGD and the soup was terrific. The hearty and flavorsome soup is something worth coming back for. Ginger, dark soy sauce and chili sauce were provided. The chicken meat was served skinless and it was quite tender considering that it was the breast meat. The rice was well-cooked, it moist and flavorful by itself.
P.S If you are looking for a Sugar Cane drink, avoid the nearest drink stall that sells sugar cane drink on the right side of the Chicken Rice Stall (when you are facing it). It tasted more like lemonade and the sugarcane was very diluted.
