Kyoto, Japan
The Nishiki Market, a narrow shopping street, was very crowded this time round as compared to the previous visit. It is one of the most colorful places to take a walk in Kyoto (visually and experientially).
Measuring 400 meters in length with over 100 vendors, this 400 years old market sells all kinds of food as well as souvenirs and knick knacks. Pickled vegetables, unagi, salmon, crabs, sushi, tempura, ceramics are just some of the stuff you will find here.
We also found this robot cat for sale. It goes into a fanatical bout of laughter if you tickle its tummy. It gave me creeps. I cannot imagine children playing with it.
Here is something similar to what we found.
