(again, apologies for no pictures. casual dinner, so didn't think much of it.)
Ambience
It was (surprisingly) crowded, perhaps people were drawn to how authentic the place looked. Dark oak furniture, a typical ramen counter, staff babbling in Japanese, I'd be drawn too.
Service
We were seated promptly, but the service was nothing to rave about. It was rather coarse service actually.
Menu
The menu is very basic. Just a few types of soup stock and toppings, and a few side dishes. But things seem to be overpriced...
Food
... Cos the noodles tasted machine-made. In fact, the flour taste was a little distinct. I had Tan-men (Ramen with non-spicy stock and vegetable topping) with additional cha shu. The cha shu was no doubt delicious and it really melts in your mouth, but it's really fatty too. The fat constitutes about half of each slice of cha shu. It made my soup oily too. =( The soup tasted a little too salty for me, and it's rather heavy on the palate, perhaps due to the fats from the cha shu. The portion was just enough.
Price
It was on the steep side, considering what they are offering ($14 for Tan-men).
