Singapore Takeout | Chilli Crab Ice Cream to Laksa Espuma

29th November 2015
Fried Soft Shell Crab with Chilli Crab Ice-Cream Sandwich | Great
by Restaurant Labyrinth | 10 SGD
A combination of sweet and spicy flavours. Crispy soft shell crab is paired with a chilled, icy chilli crab flavoured ice cream, sandwiched with a soft, fluffy mantou and eaten together with a sweet spicy chilli crab gravy. This was much better than the Savour version. The combination plus the mantou worked really well.

Deluxe Singapore : Kagoshima Kurobuta and Diced King Prawn Wantons, Laksa Espuma | Great
by Justin Quek | 10 SGD
A luxurious version of the laksa. A light, spicy coconut broth with thin noodles and topped with meaty and tender dumplings of prawn and pork. Pretty decent.

Buah Keluak Maggi Goreng with Grilled Pork Cheek | Good
by Candlenut Kitchen | 8 SGD
Imagine your comfort late night supper with a refined touch to it. Candlenut Kitchen brings out that homely feeling with their offering at the Singapore Takeout. It is a buah keluak flavoured mee goreng topped with a very tender slices of pork cheek and perfect fried egg with runny yolk. A dash of lime juice really accentuates the flavours of this comfort food.

The Singapore Takeout is part of the Singapore Inside Out, a travelling exhibition curated by Zarch Collaboratives that showcases the design, art, culture food, literature and music of contemporary Singapore. The Singapore Takeout ends tomorrow. The event is located at Tan Quee Lan Street, next to Bugis Junction accessible via Bugis Station on the Downtown and East West Line.
