Assaulted by the merciless heat, the3moose seek refuge at the Tea Party Café for some cool air.
It was one of the few cafes that were open at China Square. While the others had tea, I had the High Tea Set priced at 5 – 5.50 SGD which comes with a choice of cake and iced lemon tea or coffee.
The Hazelnut Cake was quite good with a pleasant, nutty hazelnut cream and bittersweet chocolate sponge. The only downside is that the cake has a slightly oily texture. Apparently they also have another branch at Sixth Avenue.
