Central, Hong Kong

We were wandering around Central when we stumbled upon GURU. Initially we thought it was another restaurant that I read online, so we went in and found out we were in the wrong place.

Nonetheless, the restaurant offers affordable lunch sets and we had lunch there.

GURU Indian Restaurant - Lunch

For starter, I had the Lentil Soup, a hearty and rather spicy soup.

For mains I had the Rogan Josh, a side dish of gobi aloo (sautéed cauliflower florets and potato cubes) and a basket of naans. The Rogan Josh is a Kashmiri lamb dish and rather well done. The perfect comfort food is to dip or spread the tasty rogan josh sauce on the naans.

I personally felt that the naans lacked the kind of freshly made fragrance and it was abit too floury. The mains like the rogan josh and the side dish of gobi aloo fared better with strong flavours and the lamb meat was quite tender too.

The lunch set cost me 97 HKD after taxes.
