A Chocolate Love Affair @ 1-Caramel

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the stunning evening view of 1-Caramel’s al fresco dining area.
Xinli and I were the lucky few to be invited to a chocolate-making workshop hosted by 1-Caramel and conducted by Chef Ivan.

After the hour-long demonstration, we realized that actually making your own chocolates at home is really not as daunting as most of us perceived it to be. All you need are some chocolate moulds, chocolate buttons (1-Caramel endorses Valrhona Chocolate), trimoline,  whatever flavour or filling you’re going for and some time (watch this space; we’d be sharing some easy-to-make recipes here so you can make some sweets for your sweet).

Of course, with Valentine’s Day around the corner, 1-Rochester Group has got a selection of iconic restaurants to make your evening unforgettable.

1-Altitude brings love to a whole new level with specially curated menu at Stellar and the Upper Viewing Gallery. Pre-Valentine’s Day Set Menu at Stellar is priced at $130++ per person, and the exclusive Valentine’s Day Package at the Upper Viewing Gallery is priced at $400++ per person; guests will also receive a Valrhona gift bag.

ROAST at One Rochester
Amidst the lush gardens of ROAST at One Rochester, romance your partner with an aphrodisiac-inspired set menu, complete with a selection of the freshest oysters and a wild mushroom and black truffle raviolo. As the champagne bubbles in your glasses, polish off your meal with a pleasurable escapade of unique Valrhona delicacy – dessert is served as a composition of a milk chocolate earl grey blanc manger, vanilla bean anglaise, white chocolate mousse, lime curd and coconut daquoise, passion fruit compote, together with a dark chocolate mint sorbet and a hint of mocha. Priced at $110++ per person, the menu includes a glass of Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial champagne, and a Valrhona gift bag.

COAST at 1-TwentySix
Feel the warm ocean breeze and inhale the mouth watering scents of COAST at 1-TwentySix’s sensual Valentine’s Day five-course set menu which starts with a luscious assortment of shellfish, and continues with a truffle vinaigrette-infused Petuna ocean trout confit, and a bisque infused with the inimitable flavour of butter poached Maine lobsters. Valentine’s Day Set Menu is priced at $110++ per person, and guests receive a Valrhona gift bag.
