Osaka, JapanDue to a careless mistake of mine and my flight to Osaka from Hong Kong arrived ahead of time, I decided to scrap the idea of spending a night at the airport and book a room for the night in Osaka. Thanks to the IPad and Agoda.com I managed to find an affordable room at Chisun Shin-Osaka Hotel located a walk away from the Shin-Osaka subway station and Shin-Osaka JR Station, enabling one to travel easily around Osaka and to other parts of Japan via the Shinkansen or to Kyoto via Haruka Express. There is also a convenience store nearby.
The Standard Single Room cost me 4000 Yen a night without breakfast and was quite comfortable with hi-tech toilet, television and even a tiny bathtub included. The room can easily accommodate two persons. However, the room is very small, measuring about 10 m2. My only complaint would be the linger smell of cigarette smoke (probably from the other rooms).
The service was good. The receptionists were very friendly and spoke English.
The hotel belonged to the Chisun brand of hotels managed by Solare Hotels and Resorts.
