The weather wasn’t kind to us during our day trip to Uji but it did offered a different kind of perspective under the rain. With the tourists dispelled by the rain, the atmosphere became very peaceful.

The Nakanoshima Uji Park is open this time round, it was closed during the previous visit due to high water levels.

Uji is also known for its appearance in the famous Tale of Genji, one of the oldest novels in the whole world.
