Every November to December, cities around the world will be lit up for the festive season. It is amazing how santa claus and reindeers can be found across the globe. Kyoto is no exception.
At Kyoto Station, there was quite a fair bit of festive lighting that. Besides the gigantic Christmas tree, the Music Fountain was the most popular item.
Tourists and locals alike would stop to take photos or watch the “performance” where the fountain, illuminated by colorful lights, would ‘dance’ in tune to a piece of waltz music by the Strauss family.
The Christmas tree is the next most spectacular feature. It seemed like the theme for the festive lighting has to do with rhythm or music.
The lights of the Christmas trees pulsate and blink in tune to the Christmas carols played throughout the atrium.
The sight was mesmerizing. No wonder there was quite a crowd around the Christmas tree.
Like the most of them, we sat the steps leading to the sky garden and watch the Christmas tree. It was surprisingly soothing and comforting to watch despite the cold winds.
