Coffee Time at Oriole Cafe and Bar

After our brunch at Cafebiz, we walked around Orchard ION a bit. That place was really packed. It was as if you are making your way through the Tekong birds or a school of fishes.

Justin wanted to go Starbucks initially but I recommended Oriole Café and Bar instead. In hopes that we could get some respite from the noisy crowds at ION. Somerset was less crowded but the noisy levels at Oriole remained high, due to the consistent loud chatter. Probably because it was a weekend, I prefer somewhere quiet to have my cup of coffee like K Ki or Vanilla Café and Bar.

However, as we were able to get those cosy cushioned seats at the corner, we were quite comfortable and coffee was the first priority for Marcus, Wei Long and Justin. As usual I had my favourite dessert, the Honey Crumble Affogato. Marcus had the Vanilla Latte, Wei Long had the Iced Mint Mocha and Justin had the Caffe Mocha.

Justin was reluctant to drink his cup of coffee as he couldn’t bring himself to spoil the latte art until photographs were taken of it. Both Marcus and Justin felt that the coffee was good but Wei Long isn’t pleased with his Iced Mint Mocha drink, which he felt was only average or less than average.

Unsurprisingly, the four of us loved the Honey Crumble Affogato, consistently delicious.
