Located at UTown, Hwang’s is a Korean canteen-style
restaurant. You grab your drinks, order something on the menu and make your
order and food would be delivered to you. I was delighted to see Sundubu
Jjjigae on the menu. It cost 5 SGD
for NUS students and staff and 6 for the public. It is about 2 dollars more
expensive than in Korea.
While the tofu stew looked like a tornado ran through it,
the taste was pretty close to the ones I had in Korea, right amount of
spiciness and flavour. However, the one here can't be compared to Daebak which
has clams and larger chunks of soft tofu.
