Our first proper meal in London wasn’t Western, but then again in cosmopolitan London, it is normal to find some pretty good Asian food. They said the Cantonese Roast Goose in London might be even better than Hong Kong’s.
Anyway, our dinner was Korean. Named after the well-known Korean dish, Bibimbap, this contemporary restaurant offers different variants of Bibimbap as well as other Korean dishes.
I had the Chicken Bulgogi (6.90 GBP), short-grain rice topped with pieces of chicken with and finally an egg, sunny side up. Without the barbeque sauce which they provide, this dish is pretty bland by its own. The texture of the chicken isn’t as tender as I would like it to be.
I did not try the Dolsot Bibimbap (6.45 GBP), my younger brother decided to have it all for himself. According to him, it was disappointing. The green tea was really good. In general, I guess you have to be prepared for Asian food that you are unfamiliar with in the other end of the world.
“PAP!” someone shouted as we left the restaurant.
